Pros

OpenText is filled with genuinely great people who are a joy to work with, and the individual benefits of working for the company are solid. It is a growing company with strong stock performance and is well positioned to continue that growth at least in the short term.

Cons

OpenText has been going through a shift in the last two years, a shift that has seen many long-time employees leave the company. The new culture is focused on the top, with decision-making and investment very much focused on the whims of a few executives. In the trenches, investment has been on a steady decline despite record revenues and people are struggling to get their jobs done as everyone is asked to do more with less.

Pros

While they claim to be "pro-employee" they are very much pro-Canadian employee. As long as you are a Canadian, your job should be safe. And US based role is in jeopardy.

Cons

Laying off all Americans. I do not see relevant data on location based statistics for the last 4 rounds of layoffs. The bulk of the "trimming" has been based in US. This is cost savings. Additionally, they post US based jobs for 24 hours then pull those and post H1B notifications that they could not find equivalent US resources and need to outsource for cheaper money.
