Pros

- Good peers - Decent benefits - Living wage

Cons

- Management monitors and measures "performance" of development using source commit metrics, which are famously inaccurate for measuring performance of knowledge work - Management is bullheaded and doesn't listen to concerns or ideas of their employees - Lack of real direction and leadership - Grows through acquisition, but doesn't invest in integrating properly - Management is allergic to using Cloud technologies, despite being a "cloud company" - Doesn't invest in infrastructure - Cuts wages during "bad times" without reinstating them for months or years at a time, even with several quarters of record revenues - VP and EVP leadership are completely worthless, lead through fear and intimidation, and are only interested in their own upward mobility and pleasing Supreme Leader Mark B

Pros

While they claim to be "pro-employee" they are very much pro-Canadian employee. As long as you are a Canadian, your job should be safe. And US based role is in jeopardy.

Cons

Laying off all Americans. I do not see relevant data on location based statistics for the last 4 rounds of layoffs. The bulk of the "trimming" has been based in US. This is cost savings. Additionally, they post US based jobs for 24 hours then pull those and post H1B notifications that they could not find equivalent US resources and need to outsource for cheaper money.
