Pros
I have been working for Optalis in Administration for jsut under 3 years. In short, I absolutely love it here. Naturally, I compare my previous work place experiences; I have worked for other competitors in the local Detroit Market (doing this same job) and Optalis far exceeds them on every level. The corporate staff are very supportive, and they do not micromanage. I personally love this. It fosters a culture where creativity is welcomed and also fosters a culture where everyone feels comfortable to share ideas and be themselves as opposed to everything being so "cookie cutter" and robotic. Optalis 100% pushes and drives a culture around ensuring the residents we serve are the primary focus. Optalis also pushes/drives a culture of inclusivity amongst staff and mgmt. The company understands the demands of this industry so they reward the staff with numerous opportunities to have fun and celebrate the small wins. The team at Corporate does a fantastic job of planning and advocating for offsite events or on-site events/ small team events/holiday parties/BBQs/ Picnics/philanthropy competitions/golf outings all to show appreciation for all of the hard work that everyone puts in. I actually just got a call last night from my direct supervisor about the upcoming Holiday Party Plans. I have been at companies where a pizza party is tough to come by-truly. Of course there is still an expectation to ensure we are delivering quality care and managing our buildings on a daily/weekly/monthly basis. BUT we are rewarded with more than just a paycheck (or a pizza party), It makes the periodic late nights at the office more than tolerable. I am happy to go the extra mile here because I feel supported. At previous companies the willingness to go to extra mile for staff was not nearly as generous . I will end the same way I started this review. I love it here. #TEAMOPTALIS
Cons
Honestly, I cannot think of any true "Cons". Just like any work place, or company, and just like any industry, or sector, it is only as good as the people managing it and as I stated above-I feel supported from all angles. Opportunities for discussion are always on the table and encouraged from my superiors You can't ask for much more in today's work force. Then you throw in the competitive wages, great benefits and continued focus on the employees and it is very hard to come up with a CON.
