Pros

Beautiful Denver Hq ( empty office ). $$$ should have gone into the business/people. Had some of the best people. Place to build relationships for your career after Optiv.

Cons

Not a meritocracy. Lack of advancement. As others have stated you will be a slave. New alignment and Sr Management every few quarters. New leadership seems to continually fail. This has been going on for over 5 yrs. No change in behavior. Instead of listening to long term employees who know the business better than anyone from outside. No investment in Services but they want to be a Services company. Not paid bonuses. Bonus data manipulation. Wholesale Pandemic layoffs of revenue generating, profit making employees. That says volumes about culture. Shows no care for the people who actually run the business. Founder/ CEO pushed out by PE. This company cannot compete and should be broken up and sold for its parts before there is no value left.

Optiv Response

We appreciate the time you took to share your input and regret that Optiv was not a fit for your career. Change is never easy but the transformation completed last year was hugely beneficial to our clients and future success. To clarify, Optiv did not have pandemic layoffs and in fact we landed new clients and revenue streams by helping organizations manage new remote employee working structures. Lastly of note, our founder is still at Optiv and a huge benefit to our journey.

Pros

Unlimited PTO Supportive Management Depending on who you get Good work life balance as long as you don't take the job with you after hours Work from Home Hands on Training - could still use improvement Annual pay increase

Cons

2 layoffs in a year when they keps saying everything was fine.... Laying off core contributors so now everyone who is left is doing the work of 2-3 people and not being compensated accordingly Only way to get a worth while pay increase is to move up in the company the annual increases are not inline with inflation or cost of living
