Pros

Over the past 6 months I got to experience the challenges and opportunities associated with the merger between Accuvant & FishNet. Like I've told those that work with me, if you went into a merger of this size / importance, and didn't expect a few bumps in the road, you were being naive. The one thing that has stood out through the process is the people. People that are passionate for helping others, protecting our clients and their organizations, learning new technologies, and working with some of the best and brightest security experts in the world. In the hallway in KC, I was speaking with a CIO from what of our clients and his quote to me was, "One thing is obvious, all of you really seem to enjoy working here.". That epitomizes what I see on a daily basis.

Cons

Not really a "Con", but as we transformed from Accuvant, Fishnet, to Accuvant+Fishnet, to Optiv, there has been significant change in a short amount of time. With some employees, that are more sensitive to change, were impacted more than others. Although disruptive at times, in the majority of scenarios it was necessary and simply part of the transformation process. We need more people to help out! Optiv prides itself in providing our clients with the resources needed to be successful and are in an industry where we are always hiring people with security expertise, positive attitudes, and an appetite for learning new technologies, working on interesting projects, and being part of the growth we are seeing in the security industry.

Pros

Unlimited PTO Supportive Management Depending on who you get Good work life balance as long as you don't take the job with you after hours Work from Home Hands on Training - could still use improvement Annual pay increase

Cons

2 layoffs in a year when they keps saying everything was fine.... Laying off core contributors so now everyone who is left is doing the work of 2-3 people and not being compensated accordingly Only way to get a worth while pay increase is to move up in the company the annual increases are not inline with inflation or cost of living
