Pros
Potential & Work/Life Balance Optiv's has the potential to be an incredible business, based on the wide range of servcies it delivers to a high dollar industry. However, they are disconnected from that industry. There is an identity crisis at play. The management team that came in from Deloitte has cannabalized the people and services that made Optiv what it was. They want to be thought leaders but are behind the eight ball on what the industry is actually focused on. They think people will buy because they're lead consultants came out of 3-letter agencies or big consulting shops, and because of this have stopped listening to the voice of the customer. Working from home and having flexible hours is great, but frnakly, you can get thta most anywhere these days.
Cons
Dishonest and Misleading leadership. They did a quiet RIF in order to avoid reporting layoffs and paying severance to people who deserved better. The people at the helm are lost in the sauce with getting an IPO on their resume and don't realize they are losign customers because of it. Benefits are garbage and seemingly changes every year. People have been in tears of frustration because they have to change doctors or can't get support (and one of them had cancer). This company is very disorganized and has many convaluted processes. Its frustrating to get the simplest of things done for a customer that would be table stakes elsewhere. They don't really promote form within. Only saw it happen twice.
