Decent pay for a part time job. Generally nice atmosphere. Get to see some shows.

Cons

Hard to get enough hours to qualify for the benefits program. Little June-September. Inconsistent security.

Pros

Metro is a strong regional government, smart people, processes, and focus. In my case I had a great team lead, tons of support, and very collaborative team members.

Cons

Government isn't fast, there can be too many meetings, and depending on the role you are sometimes dealing with crisis (especially in communications).
