Pros
My goal is to continue to work for this extraordinary organization until I retire. It is truly a privilege to work amongst the brightest, most collaborative, honorable people in the industry. I respect that we hire the best and brightest. The required aptitude test is the first step in selecting really smart people. We literally have candidates open the test, and walk away. The corporate culture fit is the most important component in keeping good employees. If you are uncomfortable working in a collaborative, selfless environment, with a passion to do what is right and best for our clients, you're not a fit. The real secret to the success of our company, and why our employee and client retention is so incredibly high, is the utmost respect we ALL have for our leadership. Bob Petrie and his co-founders are still together running this incredible company after 11 years! They are brilliant individuals, who have built an amazing product and service model. More importantly, they are really good people who care about their employees, personally and professionally. They are people who sit in cubes, interacting and collaborating with employees daily. Bob hosts an annual colleague conference at a beautiful resort EVERY YEAR (started with a handful of colleagues 11 years ago, and we are now at 300) all expenses paid, to further bond and learn from each other. Origami is the company who sends care packages to every employee at home during COVID 19, who makes sure everyone has reliable work stations, and whatever they need to be comfortable, productive and balance their personal lives as well. THIS is the secret sauce on why we are successful, why we all work so hard and want to succeed and why I hope personally strive to serve this company up to my retirement. Thank you, Origami.
Cons
Sometimes, we hire the wrong people and it may take a while to filter them out.
