Pros

This pest control company is owned by franchise owners not run through a corporate branch. The hours are flexible and there is little supervision.

Cons

No pay raises. Little amount of paid days off even after years or working there. A lot of stress because the owners don't get involved enough.

We regret that this is your experience working at one of our Franchise locations. As you indicated, the owners are responsible for pay and employment matters. However, we will take this under advisement as we do have standards of business conduct that we expect for locations to carry the Orkin name. I encourage you to raise your concerns to the local owners at this time and if unresolved escalate to the Franchise Leadership team. Thank you!

Pros

Opportunity to work for a well-established and respected industry leader with a strong reputation. Competitive pay with performance-based incentives and opportunities to increase earnings. Comprehensive training and ongoing professional development to build valuable skills. Clear career advancement opportunities into leadership, management, or specialized roles. Excellent teamwork and support from experienced colleagues and managers.

Cons

Long hours and overtime may be required during peak pest control seasons. Daily exposure to pests, insects, rodents, and tight or uncomfortable spaces may not be suitable for everyone. Meeting sales or performance goals can be stressful, especially in customer-facing roles. Work schedules may include evenings or weekends to accommodate customer needs.
