Pros

If your on commission they pay great. Leadership from service supervisor to regional big dog boss all wonderful people. They truly care about their employees well being. Which in turn subconsciously pushed me to treat my customers better. The work is easy sometimes I felt over compensated. Maybe because I'm a former paratrooper I felt it was easy. I don't know because some people would complain their tired after a 8 hour day of walking around shooting a squirt gun. No one told me or paid me to write this review. Its all around a great company. I left to be closer to my family in Arizona where there is no job openings. Why are their no job openings you ask? Because if you have a sliver of good work ethic you retire from Orkin. Also no bosses breathing down your neck if you do what your suppose to. Good benefits and vacation time.

Cons

I heard rumors they were switching techs to hourly pay. If that's true I'm disappointed, the commission set up was absolutely phenomenal. Please don't get greedy Orkin you'll break my heart lol.

As for the pay, we are always looking for ways to meet employees needs and the service our customers. Some states require hourly pay so look at this on a case by case basis. Leads can be slow at times, especially in certain seasons Long hours can be required to meet goals Some days are more unpredictable depending on the workload

Pros

Good pay, opportunities for sales depending on region

Cons

Orkin cares more about quantity over quality. If you care about doing a good job, don't work here. They will load your day up with tons of jobs and not enough time to do them (or do a good job anyways.) Management lives in their own bubble, and communicates poorly. I transfered to a new region and all services were a mess. Customers who have had Orkin for a year plus had homes still infested with pests. Prior techs hadn't cleaned any cobwebs, never cleaned webbing off siding or eaves. It was embarrassing. Commercial services weren't any better. I believe prior techs were just scanning stations and leaving. Orkin only cares if you punch through reports and collect money. If you also bring up customers that are being overcharged, management will never fix that either. Benefits also weren't great and quite expensive. Manager would also use slurs like the R-word despite knowing I had an autistic child. Just a gross place with gross values.
