Pros
Co workers are great. Honestly the only reason I stayed so long.
Cons
Pay is below national average and they do not even bother factoring inflation or changing work load. While I’m on about work load as an RN expect a 7-9 pt minimum, daily. I personally witnessed a 12 pts ratio. PCC only cares about pushing numbers. The equipment your floor has, the staffing, and the knowledge mean nothing to them. Patients are treated horribly but at the same time patients are allowed to treat staff even worse. Management seems to collectively have 2 braincells and is trying to figure out where they are. It was impossible to get a decent schedule and many coworkers even had to drop to part time just to complete their clinical because management wouldn’t give them days that others were even okay giving up. The biggest joke among every floor I worked was to ironically quote the massive campaign slogan ORMC tried to pass off as being kind, “Greatest place to work”. They gave out shirts, magnets, and all sorts of things with this plastered in them while praising their own generosity like it wasn’t a giant campaign ad they wanted employees to promote for free. After I left about a third of my floor had also quit within 3 months.
