Pros
- you will gain a lot of experience in all fields of emergency treatment - ED almost completely new and renovated - loyalty to the company and personality might be rewarded, not necessarily productivity - extra shifts with bonus pay often available
Cons
- loyalty to the company and personality might be rewarded, not necessarily productivity - loud work environment for patients and visitors - and employees - too high work load and stress seems to cause quite a lot of staffing fluctuations; improved patient flow to allow for more time to restructure and reorganize could reduce stress level on staff; it is a busy work field that sees many patients, but sometimes, a few more minutes to take a breath and reorganize are necessary so you dont burn your staff out on the long run - some nurses think too much of themselves (this is a general emergency nurse issue that coordinators/managers should be aware of and address)
