Pros
There are many reasons I love working for Ossium, but the one that stands out is that our work has the potential to make an incredible positive impact on health outcomes and health equity. Bone marrow transplantation can be a life-saving procedure, but there's still a major issue with access to bone marrow, especially for patients of color. Ossium's vision has the potential to save lives and reduce this health disparity, and I'm super proud to be part of the important work we're doing. Ossium is also an amazing environment for learning. We attract incredibly smart, dedicated, and creative individuals, and I learn from my colleagues on a daily basis. We have a wide variety of projects we're working on at any given time, so there's always something new to learn and rarely a dull moment.
Cons
Parking in SF is expensive and traffic is really bad on some days. For employees that don't have an alternative method of transportation (BART, bike, walk, etc.), commuting to the office in SF can be rough.
