Pros
They care about their employees. I joined as a FTE right before COVID-19 lockdown in March 2020 and since then, they have never ceased to amaze me. We have bi-weekly CEO chats where we all get on a call and he speaks about what is going on with the company, new announcements, and then opens up for questions. Since being here, they surprised us with an extra paid holiday in addition to memorial day, an extra paid holiday in addition to labor day weekend, juneteenth off as a paid holiday, and summer Fridays where we stop working at 1pm from memorial day weekend to labor day. And a new additional is we have the entire week of Christmas off and they are encouraging us to cancel meeting the week of thanksgiving and take time off. I appreciate that they value us taking time to spend with our families and to decompress from work. I have never been at a company that has encourages us to take time off and gives us additional paid holiday's aside from the usually 10 paid holidays. Granted, all these additional benefits may be because they are aware of the mental impact COVID-19 and staying inside has had on everyone, but nonetheless, they reacted very well to our circumstances and prove they care. Otsuka is such an inclusive company and they really care about their employees. The culture is great. They encourage you to speak up, they encourage new ideas and expanding your role past your job description. They value helping you find a work life balance and they encourage you to take off when needed. The benefits are amazing. For 401k, they match dollar for dollar contributions up to 10% vested 100% at 5 years. Generous PTO! After 1 year, you get 24 PTO and it increases based off years of service. Tuition reimbursement and fitness reimbursement ($100 per quarter). Medical, vision, dental, and so much more... I absolutely love working at Otsuka and i am so grateful to be working here.
Cons
