Pros

Comps are pretty stellar. Good pay and bonus, good benefits at affordable prices, 24 PTO days to start (increases after 2 years), 3 floating holidays, and 16!! company holidays (including the week between Christmas and New Year's) each year. 10% 401k match (25% vesting over 4 years). No meetings on Friday afternoons most of the year and Friday afternoons off in the summer. Strong Japanese culture influence means uncommon loyalty towards employees. Thriving DEI program and an honest commitment to work/ life balance. Overall, this is the best company culture I've worked with, especially in IT. The CIO is a rock star.

Cons

The employee to contractor ratio is ridiculous. Things are good for employees because contractors get the brunt of it. This is the flip side of a strong, Japanese commitment to employees: there aren't many employees and that commitment doesn't extend to contractors. The MSPs are the true bulk of the work force. The DEI meetings get a little aggressive with the "white people are the problem" messages sometimes, but I haven't noticed it affecting actual office relationships any.

Pros

I've been a full-time employee for about three months after converting to an FTE role, and I don't regret the decision one bit. The company culture is outstanding, and it's clear that leadership genuinely cares about the success and development of its employees. There are plenty of opportunities for learning, growth, and career advancement. The people are supportive, collaborative, and invested in helping one another succeed. It's a place where you feel valued and encouraged to do your best work.

Cons

The company has been somewhat slower than some competitors in embracing AI and driving AI-related innovation, although meaningful progress is being made. Change can also take time, particularly among more tenured employees who are accustomed to established ways of working. That said, the growing mix of experienced employees and newer talent is helping accelerate positive change and bring fresh perspectives.
