Pros

I've worked at two separate locations, and both of them showed just how close the staff is. Everyone is really good friends and have a good time at work together. Compared to other restaurants I've worked at, the "front of house vs back of house" friction is almost non-existant. They take pride in their Training Program, and even use Certified Trainers to travel the world and open new locations.

Cons

Working as an hourly employee is fun, but nothing really differentiates PFCB from any other chain restaurant. Once you get promoted into management, you are completely taken advantage of. I was 100% team PF Chang's until I got promoted. 60 hour work weeks are totally normal, and you get grief from upper management if you make comments about the working conditions. You never get a lunch break, unless you sneak food into the office while doing paperwork or reading emails, and if the restaurant stays busy then you can't leave. It's great experience because once you've managed PF Chang's you can literally do anything.

Pros

The pay is good, above market.

Cons

Inconsistent leadership makes it hard for us to do our jobs. Last minute rollouts with zero time to prepare the team. You sell your life away to the company at my position, your “off” time is not cared for. You are expected to reply to emails on vacation and track labor. Market partners are out of touch with today’s times and work life balance is nonexistent to this company. We grid all year working for our end of year bonus, that we are constantly being reminded about, only to be told the month we are to get it that we are not. 2024 bonus=“we will pay you in installments” 2025 bonus= “we don’t have the money” Red flags all around.
