Pros
Free coffee, dental benefits are pretty good after 13+ months of employment, however when you ask to use your benefits you get a guilt trip because you are taking up time that they could be making $$$$ with their dishonest tactics with patients and insurance companies. Or you even get push back when trying to ask for a vacation months in advance.
Cons
The training they provide is a joke. They have one person who is the regional trainer for multiple states for my position(which is the case for most positions in this company.) Training classes consisted of listening to the individual go on about their personal life as well as giving us information that didn't match the teachings of our (outdated) modules. Operations Managers are thrown into an office with NO training and most times with NO dental background. They mainly look for individuals with retail experience because you have been trained to up sell product and persuading others to purchase product. What does this tell you?!? This company does not care at all about their employees. EVERYTHING falls onto the Operations Manager. Employees and Dentists (Yes, even OWNER dentists) are constantly belittled and have no say on anything! If you are not producing the goals THEY set, you as well as the region are emailed 10+ emails DAILY about how your office is failing. They don't coach people on how to fix problems they tell you to figure it out and if you don't you are gone. But before they fire you they try to get you to quit by making you feel worthless, (seen first hand.) Advice to patients READ EVERYTHING YOU SIGN!! They overcharge everything even if you have insurance. We are taught to charge a certain fee even if we are contracted with your insurance to charge a MUCH lower rate. They get away with this because of what they have you sign. And you will probably notice you need 0 fillings but 8 crowns with 2 onlays... this is yet another dishonest thing they constantly push for.
