Pros
As I spend more time working in other industries/corporate cultures, I have come to appreciate that the PECO culture has evolved to be one where employees are fairly candid and rely on each other to accomplish difficult tasks. Leadership shares as much as they can with employees in the appropriate detail so that there is trust that leadership will share what they can when they can (i.e. mergers, downsizing etc.) As with most utilities, most of the employee base has a long tenure and is reaching retirement age so there can only be more opportunities ahead.
Cons
As with most large companies, PECO has it's share of politics and bureaucracy. There is a lack of diversity among leadership (still mostly white male over 50). Although mergers and regulatory environment have required PECO to change over the past decade or so, they are not nimble enough to adapt quickly.
