If you are a high performer RUN!! The inefficiencies of others will be pushed into your lap!! Apart from an “award” on a SharePoint slide or high ratings on scorecard your independent performance will go unacknowledged. There are many team members/leaders that do the bare minimum knowing that the extra time work will be picked up by the others. The career opportunities are very limited- very much crabs in a bucket scenario. And to top it all off a quarterly witch hunt takes place because 1 team will blame the other for being inefficient then the domino effect of them all pointing fingers to each other when really it should be a collaborative mindset for improvements. Also FYI - it is very visible to individual team members which leaders put in the work to uplift their teams and which do not
