Pros
You get fruit on Monday...though, most times the fruit is bruised and already bad. Free parking And that's about it
Cons
If you hate your dad, love to treat people like dirt and think you are better than everyone else--PenFed is the place for you. This is an uneducated and unethical place to work. It is safe to say that one particular person is ruining PenFed. This person (please google, there are enough hints given already) should be in jail. It is only time until a class action lawsuit is filed against PenFed and this person for how employees are treated. If EEOC is reading this, PLEASE INVESTIGATE. It does not matter if you are an e-team member or an entry level person, if you work at PenFed, you can easily be a bullseye for this person. Everyone is walking around with a big "X" on their backs. And let me tell you, once you have been marked, that is a death sentence. Until that mark has been made, her wish is her command. She has created an environment where all of management is her little marionettes. You don't have a voice. You don't have a say. You don't have an opinion. You don't have anything. Okay, enough about the person you should Google before you accept a job here. Here is reason two why you shouldn't accept a job with PenFed: Horrible benefits. For 2017, health insurance at PenFed will raise around 6 percent per employee. Healthcare cost are already high at the billion dollar corporation...You would think that if they want to become a destination employee, they would offer acceptable health insurance with good coverage. Just be prepared to pay a lot out of pocket when you go to the doctor. It's really fun... Reason three: If you are planning to take Veterans day, Fourth of July, Memorial Day, Labor Day or any other holiday off, good luck with that. PenFed makes you take a vacation day. AND, it is up to management, or really the person mentioned above, to decide if you get to take a particular holiday off. You might be thinking, what about Thanksgiving and Christmas? That's not given. You have to take a vacation day there too. But here is the kicker, everything is closed for Thanksgiving and Christmas. This is illegal, but that doesn't seem to matter for this billion dollar company. Again, if EEOC reading this, employees are forced to take a vacation day on Thanksgiving and Christmas. If these aren't red flags for you, I'm sorry and I hope you enjoy your time at PenFed. I'm sure you will realize how true these points are after you start.
