Pros

Paid sick and vacation pay. Yearly christmas bonus. Yearly raise based can be earned if you pass two reviews.

Cons

Employees are overworked, under-trained and the last to know of changes. Customers get angry, and it's very hard to not agree with them. Very clique-ish environment in management. Management is incompetent and will throw their representatives under the bus when they are forced to take an escalated call. I was promoted to another department, where individuals who had been the department for years, with excellent degrees, were overlooked for promotion within the department. Incompetent, new or outside individuals were promoted instead. A complaint regarding this issue was raised to the CEO, Frank Pollack. Frank simply dismissed the issue saying that it was necessary for some people to be promoted to jobs that they knew nothing about. Jobs are assigned to departments that have absolutely no idea how to handle them. East coast branches are given preferential treatment including catered lunches and early release time. Whenever a slight weather issue arises, they are allowed to leave early. Between the management, angry customers and other employee behavior, I was miserable and dreaded going to work ever single day.

Pros

Awesome place and people - complex and large finance operation and balance sheet yet still small enough to make an impact and build up solutions from the ground floor - creative place!

Cons

Sometimes can be stretched for more resources

Pros

Great staff and middle management. Good benefits and facilities.

Cons

Upper Management - same tune as all the other reviews. This place is full of great people who don't know they are great. It's also full of bad leaders who think they are great. Unfortunately, the best performers are often rewarded with carrying the burden of underperformers and non-contributing leaders. In certain teams there is very limited in upward mobility. They are slow to weed out low performers and ineffective managers. All in, strong performers and high achievers might find this place frustrating. This is a place for those who like to coast through.
