Pros

The building is beautiful, the facilities are great. The fixed income group from analysts to PMs are very good and majority of them are great people to deal with. The PAG group is littered with young bright minds, so that is always refreshing. Could be a great experience depending on the role and group you're planning to join and the management that is currently there.

Cons

Management is suspect, at least in the Systems group. You have a lot of people who have been there too long and are way too set in their ways. My group's manager was the one manager everyone respected, he was undoubtedly one of the better managers and one of the best people i've ever known. When he announced his retirement, I knew that was time for me to leave. That is how bad the rest of the management is. My direct manager on the other hand was not one of the better managers in the building. He spent a lot of his time drafting emails pointing out what others are not doing correctly, quick to take credit for others' work. He was very good at finding the next bus coming your way. He would often spend one on one meetings complaining about other people, people that I worked very closely with and considered my friends. Not the best way for a manager to behave. When he asked me to write procedural documents for ANOTHER group's process, that started my job search that day. There are some great people and managers at PGIM. If you're considering working there... REALLY REALLY vet the manager you'll be working with.

Pros

Benefits Pay for fresh graduates Hybrid work schedule Most managers are good

Cons

Its a gamble if you are on a good team or not. Understaffing is a major issue - there will be lots of pressure and extra working hours. Used to love working here, but ever since an incompetent person was hired for my team, the workload tripled since they do not understand the job functions. Mind you, they have been here for a year and a half.
