Pros
What I was told in the interview has proven to be true. You often get told in interviews that the OTE is x,y & z. This is probably the only place I’ve worked where they were totally transparent about your potential earnings. When I joined I was looking for somewhere that I would be able to progress. Not only have I been promoted to a more senior role. It’s a company that prides it’s self on promoting from within. If you’re willing to work hard then this will be recognised. The majority of the department heads joined the company in lesser roles and through hard work, commitment and ability, some of them now manage over 30 people. There is a very strong company culture which feeds down from the directors, through the managers and into staff. We are expected to keep very high standards from the way they present ourselves to going that extra mile for clients. This is to ensure they we continue to improve our products and service. While this can be demanding at times it’s also very rewarding. You are surrounded by talented people and it’s not a place you can just coast along for an easy ride. This can come as a shock to the system and when I first joined it did take some time to adjust. Over time I got more confident not only in myself but also with what I could achieve. I now relish challenges and feel I’m finally showing my true potential.
Cons
The kitchen areas often gets quite messy and crowed at lunch time. They could do with more microwaves.
