Pros

- PERKS - The company tries to give you perks and benefits that actually matter. Sometimes they try stuff and maybe it was not as big of a hit as they thought it would be, (like in office manicures for women) but they always take that knowledge and come up with something better. Not every company offers paternity leave, 18 days PTO, 2 VTO days, haircuts during working hours, commuter benefits, free breakfast, intramural sports, President Club outings, etc. -TRANSPARENCY- You will know where you stand. They have a growth progression plan that you receive on day 1 of training explaining exactly what you have to do to get to the next promotion. It does not matter if you have a degree, if you have 20 years of sales experience, or came from selling retail, everyone is given the same opportunity to advance to the next Team Manager, Head of Sales or wherever your path takes you. When you are promoted there is an increase in your base pay too. The timing of promotions is up to your own productivity. TRAINING - they take training very seriously. They want to see you succeed. They spend the first week doing more classroom training so you fully understand the products and services you will be offering. You get to learn from multiple departments and fully understand the business first. Training also consists of shadowing current employees before you ever have to do the role yourself. They also brought in Dale Carnegie, a professional sales training company to invest in their sales team . They wanted to motivate and empower sales leaders with the most up to date ways of the business, and other key skills. Training is also done by your Head of Sales on Tuesday and Thursday mornings on topics as they see fit. Know that Cons about companies are sometimes from employees that simply were not a good fit for a sales role. People often seek sales roles for the money, they are money hungry, and competitive. But know, sales is hard, if it was easy everyone would do it.

Cons

Its a true Sales role. Its a grind, but the expectations are very clear from the interview process and explained on day 1. Some people come in and absolutely excel and make 6 figures working in a great location with great people, and some people come in and just are not very good at sales. Just know your strengths and weaknesses and ask for help. Your managers are there to help train you every day.

Pros

My experience at PHMG has been such a fun and rewarding opportunity, especially for someone with little to no experience in sales. It’s a great place to learn, grow, and build confidence while being surrounded by people who genuinely want to see you succeed. The culture is one of my favorite parts. Everyone is very welcoming and approachable, always willing to answer questions or offer advice. Since it’s a great starting point for someone new to sales, you never feel like you’re figuring things out alone. The team is supportive, and there are so many opportunities to learn from the people around you. I’ve also really enjoyed the networking opportunities and getting to connect with so many different people across the company. PHMG does a great job creating a fun environment where people work hard but also enjoy what they do. Overall, it’s been an amazing place to start a sales career and build a strong foundation. The skills, relationships, and experience you gain here can set you up for success in future sales roles as well.

Cons

none! I loved my time here.

Pros

PHMG is a great place to breakout in a sales role and gain experience. They offer a 15 week training program called the Academy, where you get first hand coaching, product knowledge and training, and dive head first into an SDR role with constant feedback and support. You also get the commission you earn right away, with a lot of potential to earn extra cash and fun events such as President's club. I was able to attend after my first month and they really want you to experience the fun incentives. Once you graduate the Academy they move you over to a team on the senior sales floor where you still receive constant coaching and support. The team environment is motivating and keeps each day exciting. Everyone is always there to lift you up and keep pushing you to succeed. The culture and environment here is like no other and I was lucky enough to find some of my closest friends at this role. Definitely a work hard play hard mentality where we celebrate the small and big wins daily.

Cons

It is a grind, there are going to be hard days where motivation is hard. It is very metrics focused and you will be cold-calling all day everyday. Kind of the typical entry level role that comes with sales.
