Pros

High base salary Lots of travel opportunities Easy expense reporting and travel arrangements You're provided with all the base equipment to complete your work

Cons

PHMG is a company that has retained its antiquated and stiff British thinking for 21 years, and now attempting to layer itself towards US expansion. Clients in the field either hate or love the company. The ones that love the audio branding only do so until they get hit by PHMG's shady contract terms, and join everyone else. This organization is a boy's club at the top, and are more concerned about their pockets versus employee well-being. They are much more happy to profit off of your work after you've left the business rather than make any changes at all to how they conduct business. My role was 100% field based and even when travel was starting to get banned due to COVID, the field was not grounded until well after most states/countries shut down travel. In short, and contrary to their slogan, PHMG does not care and would have had me out there in a mask if they could have. They do not encourage free thinkers, and would much rather have an army of poorly trained Account Managers and Branding Consultants to just accomplish the bare minimum to ensure top management can still get paid absurd salaries. It would not be uncommon to have 5-6 face to face meetings scheduled EVERY DAY with little thought to how the logistics would work out. The inside team was KPI'd on how many meetings they scheduled and therefor did not care about the practical application of making it to those meetings. Any realistic alterations to those plans were seen as insubordination and negatively reflected on the rep. It was not uncommon for my own director to ambush call me from the UK (pre 9a in the US) yelling and questioning not only my reasoning, but also my intelligence! There is little to no upward mobility in this organization, and very high turnover rate. Avoid this company if you care about your well-being, or are looking for an organization to grow within.

Pros

My experience at PHMG has been such a fun and rewarding opportunity, especially for someone with little to no experience in sales. It’s a great place to learn, grow, and build confidence while being surrounded by people who genuinely want to see you succeed. The culture is one of my favorite parts. Everyone is very welcoming and approachable, always willing to answer questions or offer advice. Since it’s a great starting point for someone new to sales, you never feel like you’re figuring things out alone. The team is supportive, and there are so many opportunities to learn from the people around you. I’ve also really enjoyed the networking opportunities and getting to connect with so many different people across the company. PHMG does a great job creating a fun environment where people work hard but also enjoy what they do. Overall, it’s been an amazing place to start a sales career and build a strong foundation. The skills, relationships, and experience you gain here can set you up for success in future sales roles as well.

Cons

none! I loved my time here.

Pros

PHMG is a great place to breakout in a sales role and gain experience. They offer a 15 week training program called the Academy, where you get first hand coaching, product knowledge and training, and dive head first into an SDR role with constant feedback and support. You also get the commission you earn right away, with a lot of potential to earn extra cash and fun events such as President's club. I was able to attend after my first month and they really want you to experience the fun incentives. Once you graduate the Academy they move you over to a team on the senior sales floor where you still receive constant coaching and support. The team environment is motivating and keeps each day exciting. Everyone is always there to lift you up and keep pushing you to succeed. The culture and environment here is like no other and I was lucky enough to find some of my closest friends at this role. Definitely a work hard play hard mentality where we celebrate the small and big wins daily.

Cons

It is a grind, there are going to be hard days where motivation is hard. It is very metrics focused and you will be cold-calling all day everyday. Kind of the typical entry level role that comes with sales.
