Like any good company, PHMG has its downsides. The biggest one is the pressure—if you’re not hitting your numbers, the anxiety can get to you. It’s a pure numbers game, and burnout is real. You have to source new business every single day, and I did that for two years straight.
Career growth is also limited. You can become a Team Lead, and maybe—if you’re lucky—a Sales Manager, but that’s about it. There’s no clear path to becoming an Account Executive or Business Development Manager, which was one of the main reasons I moved on.
At the end of the day, this job is one of those “you either get it or you don’t” roles. If you do, you’ll thrive. Being good at the job makes you more likable, and being likable opens up more opportunities.
