Pros

The other account managers are nice to work with.

Cons

There will be a lot of listings for PHMG vacancies as so many people are leaving due to the working environment, I've seen more than one of my colleagues crying in the office. Over 60% of monthly commission is based on the performance of another team or completely uncontrollable, meaning the top metric performers often earn less than the bottom and sometimes earn nothing at all on top of the basic. The management are clueless to how the role works so the KPIs they set are unrealistic or irrelevant. In the 18 months I've been here there has been an array of changes to the management structure but no one promoted or any opportunity of progression from the role. They continuously promote the same upper management to different positions across the company so they end up running departments they have no experience in, but promise results so demand more productivity from a team already overstretched due to how many people have left or as sick leave is so high due to the stress levels. There is no investment in the position and the old perks have been slowly taken away, we used to get drinks on a Friday but these have been removed without any word. The computer equipment and monitors are so old you can't read reports on them. Even the building we are in doesn't provide parking or hand towels/dryers in the bathroom.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re really pleased to hear that your colleagues have made your experience at PHMG a positive one — strong teams are at the heart of what makes our culture special, hence us moving to an Employee Owned Business model earlier this year! We also appreciate your points around workload, commission, progression, and management decisions. Feedback like yours is invaluable as it helps us focus on improving support, processes, and opportunities so that everyone can thrive. Regarding some of the specific points you raised: the Friday drinks perk was never removed — it was paused for a few weeks while we installed new drinks fridges on all floors. This was done to ensure drinks are accessible to everyone, no matter their shift, and that no one misses out on their preferred options. The building bathroom issues you mentioned are hopefully resolved now, as we’ve been working closely with building management to install new dispensers and dryers. Finally, if your monitors or other tech need updating, please reach out to Helpdesk@phmg.com so we can make sure you have the equipment you need. Thanks again for your honesty and for helping us continue to improve the workplace for everyone. — People & Culture Team, PHMG

Pros

My experience at PHMG has been such a fun and rewarding opportunity, especially for someone with little to no experience in sales. It’s a great place to learn, grow, and build confidence while being surrounded by people who genuinely want to see you succeed. The culture is one of my favorite parts. Everyone is very welcoming and approachable, always willing to answer questions or offer advice. Since it’s a great starting point for someone new to sales, you never feel like you’re figuring things out alone. The team is supportive, and there are so many opportunities to learn from the people around you. I’ve also really enjoyed the networking opportunities and getting to connect with so many different people across the company. PHMG does a great job creating a fun environment where people work hard but also enjoy what they do. Overall, it’s been an amazing place to start a sales career and build a strong foundation. The skills, relationships, and experience you gain here can set you up for success in future sales roles as well.

Cons

none! I loved my time here.

Pros

PHMG is a great place to breakout in a sales role and gain experience. They offer a 15 week training program called the Academy, where you get first hand coaching, product knowledge and training, and dive head first into an SDR role with constant feedback and support. You also get the commission you earn right away, with a lot of potential to earn extra cash and fun events such as President's club. I was able to attend after my first month and they really want you to experience the fun incentives. Once you graduate the Academy they move you over to a team on the senior sales floor where you still receive constant coaching and support. The team environment is motivating and keeps each day exciting. Everyone is always there to lift you up and keep pushing you to succeed. The culture and environment here is like no other and I was lucky enough to find some of my closest friends at this role. Definitely a work hard play hard mentality where we celebrate the small and big wins daily.

Cons

It is a grind, there are going to be hard days where motivation is hard. It is very metrics focused and you will be cold-calling all day everyday. Kind of the typical entry level role that comes with sales.
