Pros
- Tier 1 company and globally recognized. Great to put on the CV, being a top pick for companies thereafter. - Great business awareness where everyone is involved in companywide calls where they discuss future strategies with advisors. Good place to learn the investment business. - Upskilling opportunities where enrolment into any CFA or equivalent training is promoted. Be aware of the terms of repayment. Same for any other business expenses involving any additional training, relocations and sponsorship (minimum 2 year commitment). - Great volunteering opportunities. - Intelligent and friendly colleagues.
Cons
- Difficult to find someone that will say that they enjoy working there - Time watching company with limited flexibility. The feel of uneasiness of leaving 15 minutes early. Required in the office 100% of the time, no matter the department. - Some VPs / Managers do not attempt to be leaders. Limited future growth or plan to assist. Never any celebration of ‘wins’ nor a way to celebrate colleagues farewells. Resignations are taken personally. - Never any inclusion to collaborate or experience outside of the company, VPs only. - Lack of social events
