Pros

Rapid growth and opportunity for job changes and flexibility. Friendly and helpful work culture that encourages positive callouts and appreciations. Management genuinely invested in you being a success and encouraging growth that benefits both you and the company. Genuinely good products (thus making them easier to sell and explain) Commitment to their customer and agent community and their growth

Cons

Internal communication needs improving and change management often need to be cleared across departmental lines. PPO plan is decent but the HSA needs improving to be a viable option. No 401k match (though one is in the works so take this with a grain of salt). Job paths and promotion opportunities can be a bit murky.

Pros

PLACE is full of kind, driven, hardworking, and growth-minded people. Ideas are shared freely, collaboration is a daily habit, and I can't think of a single person who isn't always happy to help at a moment's notice. No matter where they fall in the organizational structure, I can feel comfortable reaching out to anyone and know that I'll be met with a kind and friendly response. While all startups offer daily learning opportunities simply by nature of being startups, what makes PLACE unique is the purposeful striving for learning, teaching, and growing, both personally and professionally. I don't just learn new information or processes - I learn new ways of thinking, doing, and being that no other workplace has ever taught me, which is one of my favorite things about this company and what keeps me engaged and excited.

Cons

Tools and processes are often pushed out with little to no notice to employees, so we're left scrambling to learn and operationalize while at the same time our partners are getting excited and wanting us to teach them about it. The interviewing and hiring process takes weeks. I appreciate the in-depth screening that we do, and it seems to have a high success rate of finding the right fit, but the lengthy process can be a turnoff to candidates. Bottlenecks occur regularly - even something like a promotion or pay raise has to be approved at the very top, which can take a very long time. Leaders are busy and seem to be spread very thin.
