Pros
I like working at PLI. The sales group I work with feels like a family. I've developed some great friendships there. I come in every day with a positive attitude ready to work. My supervisor is great, not a micro manager at all. We get monthly bonuses if we reach a certain percentage of our goal. We are an ESOP company which should be good for us when we retire.
Cons
There are 2 different "cultures" at PLI. There is the sales department and office staff; and then there is production. It's like working at 2 separate companies. Sales people are treated differently than production. Sales people can be a few minutes late and production gets written up for it. The production team is treated like a group of kindergarteners (come on, a sign on the break room door that said "if it's not your break time you shouldn't be in here") Some people in sales can basically do whatever they want, wear what ever they want, work if they feel like it and management doesn't do anything about it.
