Major Reorganization for the Better! - Senior Manager PLS Logistics Services Employee Review

Pros

The company just implemented a major reorganization and promoted some of the more respected Managers into Director and VP level positions. Most of the Execs have abandoned their offices to sit with their respective teams on the brokerage floor. I'm really excited as two of the new leaders started their careers and are known to be more "fair" than the ones who used to give accounts to people they liked. They are also FINALLY implementing a new comprehensive training program for the AET program along with Manger development. You can already feel the positive energy from the hardest working people in the business. It also puts light at the end of the tunnel for which used to be a black hole.

Cons

The IT group could use a rework. They hire great new people, but all the ones who have been here for years should be fired. It's the last piece of the puzzle and hopefully our owner figures out the longest tenured IT and Project Managers have been playing him.

We take your feedback seriously and will pass it along to leadership. We agree with your positive experiences - PLS employees truly embody the work hard, play hard culture. We're excited about the new training program, too. Thanks for the review!

Pros

The Colleagues and relationships you make with your co-workers. Building a book of business, and fast paced environment. Unlimited Growth Potential.

Cons

The direction the company is headed in and the toxicity of an everchanging management structure. As someone who spent almost a decade with PLS; I can say fully and honestly, they do not care about you. This is a company to build experience with and move on from. If you are a $20K rep for more than 6 months, after you roll out, they will move off of you. You will be terminated with no second thought--other reps will poach your clients and potentially ruin any relationships. Furthermore, management tends to play favorites--If you show growth potential, they will feed you, but the moment you fail on one opportunity--you will be turned over. This is not the job for anyone who questions their own ability and work ethic. PLS Hires in classes - they will hire 30-40 people at a time, and in 3 months, 4 to 5 people of that class will remain. The turn over is extremely high and there is no job security. Finally, even if you are a top performer, they will not hesitate to get rid of you.
