Pros

You can learn the basics of sales, and if your lucky enough to survive you can live off the corpses of your other fellow employee's

Cons

for only 20% commission (if you ever roll out) you would think that other departments would be well taken care of considering the other 80% is supposed to be paying the them right? you would be wrong, our back half is awful even if you do win customers in this over saturated market your libel to get screwed when other offices cant do their job. Its likely not their fault either, they are understaffed and most of them are from ukraine, so what ends up happening is you spend half your day fixing the problems of customer and freight in the past rather than spending all your time on current things... half the reason you can keep people here. Doesn't help i saw the mass Email for 10 years in the company and all they got was a $250 gift card to the company clothing shop, what a joke at that point don't give us anything.

Pros

The Colleagues and relationships you make with your co-workers. Building a book of business, and fast paced environment. Unlimited Growth Potential.

Cons

The direction the company is headed in and the toxicity of an everchanging management structure. As someone who spent almost a decade with PLS; I can say fully and honestly, they do not care about you. This is a company to build experience with and move on from. If you are a $20K rep for more than 6 months, after you roll out, they will move off of you. You will be terminated with no second thought--other reps will poach your clients and potentially ruin any relationships. Furthermore, management tends to play favorites--If you show growth potential, they will feed you, but the moment you fail on one opportunity--you will be turned over. This is not the job for anyone who questions their own ability and work ethic. PLS Hires in classes - they will hire 30-40 people at a time, and in 3 months, 4 to 5 people of that class will remain. The turn over is extremely high and there is no job security. Finally, even if you are a top performer, they will not hesitate to get rid of you.
