Pros

Business is boomin'!! PLS has growth rates that are off the charts. They have an outstanding business model in place, and are running it to perfection. The CEO, Greg Burns, is really down-to-earth, and very appreciative of everyone's efforts.

Cons

It is, at best, a mediocre place to work, and for most people, it will totally suck. It is dull, boring, mundane, repetitive, lacks vitality, and gives the appearance of a place where almost everyone is just punchin' a clock. Maybe that is what happens when your business is bred on a simple concept, and you have many, many people repeating the concept over and over....I spent one week there in formal training (a joke), and it was one of the most depressing places I have ever experienced. Departments generally do not interface well, and it seems most people are waaay too protective of their "turf". The CEO is very sincere in his appreciation of the success that has been building, though it seems that those below him don't sincerely share that appreciation, and certainly do not believe in genuinely helping people do better. I was there five months, and not once was I asked, "what can we do to help you?...what do you need to do a better job?...how do you think we could improve (anything)?"

Pros

The Colleagues and relationships you make with your co-workers. Building a book of business, and fast paced environment. Unlimited Growth Potential.

Cons

The direction the company is headed in and the toxicity of an everchanging management structure. As someone who spent almost a decade with PLS; I can say fully and honestly, they do not care about you. This is a company to build experience with and move on from. If you are a $20K rep for more than 6 months, after you roll out, they will move off of you. You will be terminated with no second thought--other reps will poach your clients and potentially ruin any relationships. Furthermore, management tends to play favorites--If you show growth potential, they will feed you, but the moment you fail on one opportunity--you will be turned over. This is not the job for anyone who questions their own ability and work ethic. PLS Hires in classes - they will hire 30-40 people at a time, and in 3 months, 4 to 5 people of that class will remain. The turn over is extremely high and there is no job security. Finally, even if you are a top performer, they will not hesitate to get rid of you.
