Pros

I have tripled my salary in the 2 years that I have been here. there is so much opportunity for growth. Management and upper management give you all the tools you need to be good at your job. There are goals and records to keep you motivated. You gain all types of experience you can take anywhere if this job isn't for you. There where the vice president of the company helped me get a load taken care of after hours when I was a young rep. The upper management and management is top notch here.

Cons

Saturday shifts suck. We work 1 per month. They especially suck for me because I live 50 minutes or so from the office. I work a lot from home on the weekends already and wish I didn't have to drive so far to do mandatory face time. Also paying for parking passes kind of suck but that's not a PLS thing that's a STL thing. This job isn't for everyone. it takes some grit to hang in there on the bad days when you are putting out fires all day. (but that's what you have to do in life so no big complaint here. Benefits kind of suck for people with families

Pros

The Colleagues and relationships you make with your co-workers. Building a book of business, and fast paced environment. Unlimited Growth Potential.

Cons

The direction the company is headed in and the toxicity of an everchanging management structure. As someone who spent almost a decade with PLS; I can say fully and honestly, they do not care about you. This is a company to build experience with and move on from. If you are a $20K rep for more than 6 months, after you roll out, they will move off of you. You will be terminated with no second thought--other reps will poach your clients and potentially ruin any relationships. Furthermore, management tends to play favorites--If you show growth potential, they will feed you, but the moment you fail on one opportunity--you will be turned over. This is not the job for anyone who questions their own ability and work ethic. PLS Hires in classes - they will hire 30-40 people at a time, and in 3 months, 4 to 5 people of that class will remain. The turn over is extremely high and there is no job security. Finally, even if you are a top performer, they will not hesitate to get rid of you.
