Pros

People are friendly and you can meet people your own age Logistics is an interesting industry, but 3PL is not the stress You will learn about many different places in the U.S and Canada via Google maps

Cons

Extremely high employee turnover Immature environment and management is obsessed with sports which is a huge distraction. Definitely a "bro" environment (there are even football graphics on the wall...) Not that I don't like sports, but it was a little bit overwhelming Hard work for little gain Not professional. Some employees do not even have college degrees Dead-end job Favoritism and clicks Insufficient training that does not give you the tools you need to succeed Saturated industry Cold calling and long after hours (you will even need to work on weekends in order to meet the sales quota) 80% of trainees will be out of a job within 6 months Definitely sucks if you relocated for this job to a city that you don't really like and then be out of a job 6 months later

Pros

The Colleagues and relationships you make with your co-workers. Building a book of business, and fast paced environment. Unlimited Growth Potential.

Cons

The direction the company is headed in and the toxicity of an everchanging management structure. As someone who spent almost a decade with PLS; I can say fully and honestly, they do not care about you. This is a company to build experience with and move on from. If you are a $20K rep for more than 6 months, after you roll out, they will move off of you. You will be terminated with no second thought--other reps will poach your clients and potentially ruin any relationships. Furthermore, management tends to play favorites--If you show growth potential, they will feed you, but the moment you fail on one opportunity--you will be turned over. This is not the job for anyone who questions their own ability and work ethic. PLS Hires in classes - they will hire 30-40 people at a time, and in 3 months, 4 to 5 people of that class will remain. The turn over is extremely high and there is no job security. Finally, even if you are a top performer, they will not hesitate to get rid of you.
