Pros

The training is very hands on and the managers all seem really knowledgeable. They provide you with leads and have a team of people to move your freight for you. Good office environment, everyone is really nice and its not super cut throat. There is an opportunity to make lots of money if you put the time in.

Cons

Sometimes it takes a while to get a quote back from your operator, so would be nice to know how to do that as a sales rep. It is at the end of the day a sales job, so if you want to succeed you have to work really hard.

Pros

The Colleagues and relationships you make with your co-workers. Building a book of business, and fast paced environment. Unlimited Growth Potential.

Cons

The direction the company is headed in and the toxicity of an everchanging management structure. As someone who spent almost a decade with PLS; I can say fully and honestly, they do not care about you. This is a company to build experience with and move on from. If you are a $20K rep for more than 6 months, after you roll out, they will move off of you. You will be terminated with no second thought--other reps will poach your clients and potentially ruin any relationships. Furthermore, management tends to play favorites--If you show growth potential, they will feed you, but the moment you fail on one opportunity--you will be turned over. This is not the job for anyone who questions their own ability and work ethic. PLS Hires in classes - they will hire 30-40 people at a time, and in 3 months, 4 to 5 people of that class will remain. The turn over is extremely high and there is no job security. Finally, even if you are a top performer, they will not hesitate to get rid of you.
