Pros

You get paid to watch the Wolf of Wall Street. You'll learn what to beware of in your future job search.

Cons

This place is awful. No real leadership, just fickle little man syndrome with ever changing asks but limited resources to actually accomplish anything. Wiping out the workforce is cyclical, then they wonder why nothing is accomplished: FREE ADVICE: YOU'RE LOSING INSTITUTIONAL KNOWLEDGE EVERY TIME YOU PURGE YOUR PAYROLL. Literally, if their top 5 brokers just left, this company would fail to exist, those brokers are better off investing in their own software & building out their own company. Why let this place continue siphoning off you? You work off mainly open source or Google products to manage your books anyways. [BTW: your customers are not secure.] Constant instability breeds continued failure. Bottom line: you do not want to work here. It is a joke. Find a company that actually invests in your development as an employee. This is surely not the place. You can watch Wolf of Wall Street on your own. That's the extent of your training at this place. Don't let the positive reviews here fool you: they incentivize current employees to leave a positive review. Very shady business practices. You gain nothing by working here, you will likely be less marketable AFTER your time at this company.

Pros

The Colleagues and relationships you make with your co-workers. Building a book of business, and fast paced environment. Unlimited Growth Potential.

Cons

The direction the company is headed in and the toxicity of an everchanging management structure. As someone who spent almost a decade with PLS; I can say fully and honestly, they do not care about you. This is a company to build experience with and move on from. If you are a $20K rep for more than 6 months, after you roll out, they will move off of you. You will be terminated with no second thought--other reps will poach your clients and potentially ruin any relationships. Furthermore, management tends to play favorites--If you show growth potential, they will feed you, but the moment you fail on one opportunity--you will be turned over. This is not the job for anyone who questions their own ability and work ethic. PLS Hires in classes - they will hire 30-40 people at a time, and in 3 months, 4 to 5 people of that class will remain. The turn over is extremely high and there is no job security. Finally, even if you are a top performer, they will not hesitate to get rid of you.
