Pros

Some of the departments have strong group culture, managers are flexible with hybrid work environments/let you work odd hours, great health benefits, they give a struggling employee a lot of chances before firing them.

Cons

company is regarded as an "old boys club", once you become a mid-level engineer they will overload you with work and will not provide enough resources. It is not easy/well defined how to become a shareholder, there are not good project managers, most PM's were hired for who they know and their seniority, not for their project management skills. This division is losing senior engineers as well because other companies pay much more. Shareholders only make up 16% of the company, and get huge returns but they will not increase most of their employees salaries.

Pros

Was a genuinely great place to work. Great people and great culture. It was worth the slightly-lower-than-average pay because work life balance and benefits were great. I enjoyed going to work every day.

Cons

Poor financial decisions from upper management regarding the shareholder program led to the company's demise. Upper management sold out to WSP. Management made millions while long time employees got zilch. As someone else had mentioned, retention bonuses were unfairly distributed. Most people didn't get any retention bonus even if they had been long time employees of the company. It really felt like everyone who wasn't upper management got stabbed in the back. They got their payout then dumped the company. Still stings to this day.
