Pros

You will get a ton of valuable experience very fast. Great coworkers. Fully remote. Good compensation.

Cons

Terrible work life balance, especially as a PM you will be worked to death - I’m talking 60+ hour weeks and you won’t even get close to tackling your workload. Most people have to work nights and weekends to keep up and management doesn’t care. Layoffs are happening and they are not communicated well - they are currently outsourcing a lot of positions to countries with cheaper wages. It’s very difficult to maintain quality on a team with everyone in different time zones. PPD used to be the best CRO however quality is definitely on the decline. Finance overpromises on projects to win the bid so everyone is always scrambling to meet unrealistic deadlines. Resourcing is awful. Incredibly disorganized, no one ever knows what’s going on and they change the procedures constantly. Tons of complicated systems and you can never find the information you need. They don’t care about retaining employees so most people are new and have no idea what they’re doing.

Pros

Provided health insurance. Good coworkers Good exposure to team at client site If you have a good technical lead, the job can be great!

Cons

You have 2 bosses (Technical lead from Client Site) and your PPD boss. PPD Boss does not know what is going on If you have a bad technical lead, your life can be miserable. Pay is low No protection from abusive technical lead (coworkers on same team can have a drastically different experience)
