Pros
There are top-notch benefits for full-time employees. It is a fairly straight-forward objective, to get quality paint to customers when they need it. The management is top-down, if you like that sort of thing.
Cons
Culture is conservative, and also VERY anti-environment. They actually have a voting page to tell you which candidates to vote for who are consistent in voting against air and water quality regulation, and they are against the Environmental Protection Agency!! Also, the company is one of the highest polluting non-energy entities in the state, even though they just make automotive paint. Working for PPG, you can expect an ambiguous set of expectations to live by, and a culture of me-against-you that ensures that if you do something "wrong", someone will tell on you for it!
