Pros

Day shift, good shift times. Reasonable pay. benefits after probation.

Cons

Biased and discrimination. They didn't even give me a chance at all, terminated me before I even finished my training, quote "didn't like the "vibe". " I am 57yo, NEVER been fired, asked to leave or even written up ever before. I jumped through their drug test, background check, waiting period for contractor ID through Delta, took careful notes, maps, cross trained, yet right at the end of training when I had to take 2 days off because THEY screwed up my first check, PLUS never being told the first check would be mailed and I had to wait for gas money to drive in to work, despite being told "I understand," by the boss, he fires me instead. EVERYONE who trained me said I was catching on great to the work and was doing a fantastic job. But i am older in a group of 20-30 somethings and I could tell they were biased. Especially the manager. And during training when we ran out of things to do, I asked to leave early rather than milk the clock, they didn't like that either, they wanted me to milk it. Oh, and that first check...never arrived at all. I had to call them several days late and they had to send another one overnight. First one never did show up.

Pros

Acceptable 401K matching with immediate vesting as well as an age based deferred compensation program that has a 3 year vesting period. Standard benefits and pay consistent with industry. Acceptable safety practices defined and adhered to throughout organization.

Cons

Moderately high turnover (at least my division). Inconsistent treatment of employees (flex time allowed for some employees but not others in same work category, some employees told to use personal car or phone for work activities while others get in trouble for same type of work activity, allowing some employees the options to apply and move internally while others are not allowed - and are sometimes even forced to moved to a role for which they didn't apply against their desires). Inconsistent reporting of data and legal brushes aside your questions/findings making you seem like you did something wrong when uncovering something fishy.
