Pros

-Safe & fun environment -Friendly coworkers and managers -Lots of social activities and lunch is provided at least 50% of the time -Hybrid setting (In office 3 Days/ WFH 2 Days) -24 Days of untampered PTO (any additional needs special permission from HR) -Defined way of promotion at least on Associate level -$250 for working holidays -Opportunity for personal growth and development is high

Cons

-Workload is excessive… be prepared to wear many hats and accept it with a smile -No overtime pay, and yet working at least 1hr before or after is expected due to the workload -Some goals of the role are nearly impossible to reach, such as taking in random calls on the phone queue require at least 3.5hrs per day on top of handling your own claims (and please believe me when I say this goal is nearly impossible in an “8hr” workday) -Being a mule for members as they can throw a fit and get there way with the company at any time -Having to tell members right from wrong for hours at a time, and then if they get upset, having your manager throw you under the bus and honoring their wrongs anyway -Having to talk on the phones everyday -Having to take on additional assignments in an already busy day -Having to work a weekend day at least once a month (but you get that day back during the week so it’s a pro and con) -Not being able to take PTO if 5 others are already taking PTO on that day (mind you there’s about 45-55 MAs in total) -Dealing with burnout at least twice a month -Everyday is a new day and there’s very little consistency -Dealing with the chance of having an extremely high claim load in comparison to another MA (one could deal with 60 claims at one time while another could be dealing with 30 claims) -The ever-changing rules at least every 1-2wks -Did I forget to mention the phone queue?

Pros

Best company I’ve worked for. The culture is genuinely people-first and you feel valued, not just like a number. Leadership is transparent and accessible, compensation is competitive, and the work is meaningful. You’re set up to succeed and given real autonomy to do your job.

Cons

Like any growing company there is always room to refine processes but PURE is constantly improving and receptive to feedback. Nothing that outweighs the positives.

Pros

Coworkers, solid 401k matching, health benefits

Cons

One of the hardest lessons I learned early in my career was that not every workplace is healthy, and that toxicity can become normalized when leadership and HR reinforce it. Employees were routinely gaslit into working long hours for minimal pay, taking on excessive workloads due to chronic understaffing, and overcompensating simply to stay afloat. Any attempt to set reasonable boundaries was met with reprimand, pressure, bullying, or eventual push-out (which appears to be the default approach). With the current leadership, this culture is unlikely to change, and it’s unclear whether that is a concern at all. PURE’s culture offers only two paths: full, unquestioning compliance (regardless of personal cost) or being quietly pushed out. I chose self-respect over compliance, rebuilt my confidence in the workplace, and found a company whose leadership genuinely recognizes, appreciates, and celebrates my success. I promise, you can too!!!
