Pros and Cons - Senior Accountant I Pacific Life Employee Review

PL is a great place to work, but I do have one con that stands out to me, and this could be just my perception. As an individually contributing employee, I feel as though important promises from management tend to get deferred or just remain unfulfilled for long periods of time. Some people may perceive elements of political favoritism while others may see managers as fighting against 'red tape' and bureaucracy. End of the day, it's still a great place to work, but ambition and hard work does not seem to advance you any faster than the guy simply 'doing the job.'
