Pros

The best benefits and work life balance of all time.

Cons

Not good pay for junior employees living locally to home office. A bit of a lack of transparency between senior leaderships goals and the rest of the company. Company strategic goals are just words on paper to make everyone feel good. Senior leadership makes low level decisions and seems to find a shiny object that redirects what everyone works on. You have to stop something you’ve been working hard on to appease leadership curiosity. Senior leadership has a hard time trusting experts at lower levels. Prioritization problems like other companies, but the budget is SO SMALL that we have to say no to 100 projects that could make us money because there is one project taking up the budget that gets everyone new computers. Weird cannibalism in the portfolio.

Pros

What I'm most grateful for is my team and the culture. Pacific Life is full of supportive, knowledgeable, encouraging, and just genuinely great people. I feel challenged, appreciated, and lucky to be a part of this culture.

Cons

In-person requirement of four days a week is not consistent. There is lots of flexibility with that, though.

Cons

The Return to Office policy is driving away one of our talented team members. Blindsided by reorgs. No polls done to determine what is best for our team.
