Pros

I learned a lot, definitely helped my technical writing skills and ArcGIS. I was in charge of running my own show with nobody breathing down my neck. Remote work and very flexible with booking hotels during site visits. Since I was a part time employee I was in charge of my own work schedule.

Cons

No communication between offices in different cities. This is supposed to be a part time position, yet I'm lucky if I get 5 hours a week and this has been happening for past 2 months now. Avoid part time contracts at all cost no benefits at all and hours are not guaranteed. Unless, counteroffer with 25 hours guaranteed a week. If you're not in the main San Antonio office I don't think you have a chance in moving up in this company.
