Pros

At times you can make some money, typically only on dinner shifts Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights only.

Cons

Management doesn't care about employees, at the 183 Austin location they will lie about your hourly as they ask to pick up other positions. The location has only been properly staffed when we opened and people come and leave in droves. You'll pay out for busser that do not exist, you will buss your tables a lot or not get sat. They'll promise you special meals or even meals for picking up doubles but it will hardly ever happen, I think it has honestly happened 6x in almost a year I’ve worked here. There is a reason we have 3 bussers on staff and 3 quit yesterday, we are down 25 servers and have they beg servers to be hosts because we are down to 3 of these as well, we have no food runners and the kitchen is a whole ‘nother paragraph. You will have whole tables comped weekly, and multiple items comped daily. They refuse to look internally at the why and fix it, the cycle keeps going. Find a server leaving a shift at 10pm-1am if you don't believe me. This might be a better situation that you're coming from to those I say come on, but for most I think you're better off where you are.

Pros

Very structured. Professional company, clear goals and good communication.

Cons

No room for growth. GM positions rarely open and the company isn't expanding. There is a program where you can become an "AGM" and qualify for better pay however the goals to achieve this don't seem realistic. We are told we can't give reviews to employees over a certain level "No one should be getting higher than a 3.5 on reviews, that's not realistic" Then told we need to achieve a 3.8 on OUR review to move forward. Clearly not going to happen. The schedule is brutal. We keep losing management due to long hours / late hours and weekends always working. They won't hire managers no matter how qualified without a college degree. So we get managers who are very unqualified with degrees that aren't relevant, while we have people who have experience and would be a great fit that we can't hire.
