Pros
If you are at a stage in your life where you absolutely require flexibility, Paradigm may be right for you. The people are generally friendly and there is a good possibility that what Paradigm is working towards could disrupt the residential design development process, which is exciting.
Cons
Paradigm has a very political landscape. Work, blame, and resource guarding is all too common on the Homebuilder side of the business. You will find odd job titles that dont necessarily reflect industry standards within certain teams. You will also most likely be brought on at a low salary for the position. Do not fall for thinking that you will be brought up to a competitive salary even if you are truly making a difference in your team/product. I believe they crutch too much on the fact that the work is remote to offer salaries that are approx. 6-10k short. Also keep in mind there are no bonuses at Paradigm. Furthermore, on the Homebuilder side you will see a lack of residential builder experience across teams. I find this to be so odd considering we are actively trying to create and refine products that serve that industry. So, if you happen to have that experience you will be a valuable resource. To top it off, Paradigm also has trouble keeping a consistent vision for their Homebuilder products for more than a couple quarters. The root cause of this is a fundamental lack of understanding of the industry they are looking to serve (ultimately goes back to not getting the right people in the right roles).
