Thanks for your very honest feedback of your Paragon experience. I agree the commute is something we grapple with, as too often the work is on the opposite side of the Bay Area from where are our attorneys live. An effective public transportation system would be the ultimate solution, but until then, we try very hard to match attorneys to projects that are in the geographic area they prefer. It doesn't always work out, in which case we do try our best to negotiate a working/onsite schedule that is mutually agreeable. We know it is hard to feel a sense of community within the secondment model where everyone is disbursed, especially now that our team has grown to one of the largest in the SF Bay Area. Several years ago we started to introduce a variety of socializing opportunities to address that, such that now every year there are 4-5 events across the Bay Area including ball games, cocktail drop-ins, MCLEs, summer family outings, etc. to allow our attorneys to get to know each other better (see pictures from these events here on our Glassdoor page!). As a result of our efforts, this year's All Hands meeting felt like a reunion of old friends, as so many of our attorneys have been with us for multiple years and have gotten to know each other through these events. We'll keep at it!
