Pros
Good pay, content is fun to work with, your experience truly depends on who is along the ladder up above you which can be great if they're any good.
Cons
This company loves to talk about inclusion, but can't explain why almost all senior-level management is white. You'll only see any diversity in lower-level roles, so what change can really be affected? Nothing really makes this feel like an entertainment company anymore other than the content. There used to be so many perks, appreciation tokens, parties, and little free merch that made working for ViacomCBS worth it, but they've cut so many employees in regular layoffs and cut so many corners clearly trying to pinch pennies. Corners including, but not limited to, depriving employees of promotions or significant raises unless someone ahead of them gets laid off or quits. Also, good luck getting a raise even if you switch companies within the network. They pay more to have an outsider come in than make their employees feel valued. They will cut anyone at any time for their bottom line, regardless of how many late nights you've spent at your desk or if you've been with the company for 10+ years (can't tell you how many layoffs I witnessed). This company is made up of a majority of employee referrals, so you'll often find yourself working for someone you genuinely are smarter than solely because their high school friend gave them a recommendation.
