Pros

They do have a good benefits plan, although each year it's a little more expensive and you get a few less benefits. Overall, though, it's better than a lot of companies. The facility is comfortable enough, as far as a typical Cube Land goes. The only thing free is the coffee, with tea choices.

Cons

The ongoing joke for many years is that it's not a question of if you are going to get let go from the company, it's only a matter of WHEN. I spent 13 years at MTV Networks in Nashville in a couple of different departments. I realize the MTV name is what draws many people in the door, but once you're inside, you will encounter some really great people, and some really awful people. Some great professionals, and some just getting by on the coat tails of the professionals. The childish and petty discord is palpable in some departments, and HR has no interest whatsoever in remedying any situation that might help an employee. They will defend bad managers to the death, though. To. The. Death. I've seen more good people forced out because their abusive managers were defended by HR, and there was nowhere else to turn. Even some managers aren't safe either, though. The coupes happen at every level except the top. Layoffs are routine; at least once a year, and as many as three, so people are always nervous about their jobs and fearful. There's never any budget money to do your job well. It is to the credit of some incredibly creative people that the network is still operational at all, because they are given so few tools to do so with. Just watch Viacom stock on Wall Street. That says it all right there. But the company will lay off 50 low to mid-range employees so that a top executive can keep their 10 million dollar YEARLY bonus. It's shocking.

Pros

- Benefits - At the Digital Specialist, Account Manager, and Account Executive level the people are mostly incredible to work with internally - Most AEs are able to have their own offices, which helps significantly to drown out the noise of senior management

Cons

- CEO / Culture post Skydance merger: I never thought I would ever be in a position where I would want to leave a company because of the people. But that is starting to become the case. ELT/SLT does not care about the culture, hard workers, or rewarding loyalty. They will treat you like a number because the only thing anyone cares about (and its so apparent more than ever) is the bottom line. - Compensation and values - working for Viacom and CBS / ViacomCBS / Paramount before Skydance actually felt like it meant something. Now, no one knows if we're even valued and more often than not we're made to feel like every day of our lives here we have to prove our value over and over again. You never genuinely feel safe or comfortable here because there's going to be layoffs every 6 months. Other tech companies will give better compensation - Paramount needs to up their game if they don't want to continue losing their best talent. - You're literally just a number here. The company does not reward hard work or loyalty so it's best to just watch your own back because no one will have it here. They have let go of the best leaders that I've ever come across and have kept toxic egos only because they know how to play the toxic game that working here has become
